Have you had enough fun yet?
Boys basketball in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area again delivered an entertaining regular season that had plenty of storylines.
How good would Manual be after losing Dietrich Richardson? Or Metamora losing Matthew Zobrist? Peoria High with Leshawn Stowers? Would this be the year East Peoria’s dynamic junior tandem would lead them to a long-awaited Mid-Illini title? How would the arrival of transfers and impact freshmen affect some of the area’s top squads? Which small school would emerge and have a historic year?
Most of those questions have been answered to some extent, but that only scratches the surface. Through 31 games and three months of the regular season, more questions have been answered, such as which team could be a dark horse in the postseason, which ones are best-suited for a deep postseason run, what player you want taking a shot with the game on the line and who has been the biggest breakout star.
